Supports tenants who may be struggling to maintain their tenancies and need one to one support for up to a maximum of 12 months. Tenants may be vulnerable due to physical or mental health issues, acute illness, addiction, bereavement long-term disability- each case is assessed and an individual action plan created - examples
- Support with applications to transfer
- Dealing with complex repairs – including damp and mould
- Support to start the adaptation process
- Help when arrears are an issue
- Support when you have never had a home before
Community Investment Team
SLH Community Investment activities are delivered through four key areas;
- Health
- Environment
- Employability
- Engagement.
A real focus on customers voice; providing opportunities for tenants to review policies and provide their views on services to influence decision making.
Scrutiny Panel, focus groups, surveys.

- Produces fresh, local food that is distributed to the community and encourages healthy cooking and eating
- Urban wildlife habitat created to increase bio-diversity
- Volunteer-run community shop, which offers food and essential household goods to all SLH tenants who need them
- For £3, you will be able to choose good to the appox amount of £15
- The shop links with food charity Fairshare and other local sources of food and household goods to prevent items going to landfill and offer at a vastly reduced rate
- The Market Place Social is a shared space at The Market Place, where people can come to chat, relax, create and connect
- We use The Market Place Social for a wide variety of activities. From informal sessions like Coffee & Chat to regular arts and crafts and wellbeing classes, there’s always something going on.

- Provide opportunities for those looking for work to develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence through a range of training courses
